Babies Update - December 17, 2008
I know it's been a while - so I thought I'd provide an update. We had our last OB appointment today. I am currently 37 weeks. We started with an ultrasound and the boys look great. They are estimated to be 6lbs 14oz & 7 lbs 1oz. I guess we'll see how big they are when they are born. We also scheduled our C-section today. It looks like the boys will be born no later then December 23rd.
Part of me is hoping the boys will come on Sunday (December 21st) - it's my grandfather's birthday. Then again - they are already sharing their birthday, maybe they shouldn't have to share it with someone else :)

Twins and Reilly news!
Twins: We had an ultrasound today and the boys are both definitely boys and they are both very healthy and weigh 1# 14oz and 2# 2oz.
The doctor was very pleased about Heather's health and thinks everything is fantastic.
The boys are already being boys. One kept mashing his butt into the other one's head during the whole ultrasound. Oh my.
Reilly: She is getting to be such a big girl in looks, attitude, and.....she took her first steps tonight! It won't be long before she is running everywhere. She is already quite active with her crawling and using one of her toys to help her walk. Tonight she walked between Heather and I several times and seemed to be quite proud of herself. Well; we are proud of her too. :)
The Craziness that is the Mountels
Hello - long time no blog. Sorry we have been so remiss. Life in the Mountel household has been a bit crazy. Just to catch everyone up with where things stand these days....
Jackie - has moved into her own apartment that will allow her to keep her dogs (a pit and a chihuahua). She has a job at University Hospital and it getting ready to start her second year at UC in the school of nursing. She is doing very well!
Micaela - is getting ready to start her freshman year of high school! They grow up too fast! She has been a fantastic help this summer - I'm sad to see the school year start! She is the best big sister and the perfect mommy's helper. She changes dirty diapers (and I do mean dirty), she feeds Reilly, gives her baths, and entertains her easily. Reilly loves Micaela very much (I become chopped liver in her presence). :)
Reilly - is rapidly approaching her 1st birthday. She is crawling like a fiend (although it is one of the most interesting crawls I've seen in a while). She has started pulling herself up to stand holding onto furniture, people, and anything else she can get a grip on. She also loves to drop things and say Uh-Oh. She is too funny!
Mark - recently accepted a promotion at work. He is now the Director of IT. He is really enjoying his job.
Heather - is pregnant again. Yes already. And to make things more interesting we are pregnant with twins. That would be 2 babies. The official due date is January 8 but we are expecting to see the little bundles sometime in December. We will find out the sex (if they are cooperating) on September 3 - I will be sure to let you all know.
We have lots to figure out - daycare, house arrangement, new car (minivan), etc. We are looking forward to the arrival and trying not to stress to much about all the details in the meantime.
So as you can see, we have lots going on around here. We hope all of you are doing well.
